NAVVI UPSIDE RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE "BENZ"
For what seems like the last four to five years there have been two main channels in which music permeates out of Chicago. There's obviously the more trendy, street derivative music that artists like G Herbo and FBG Duck have capitalized on, and than there is the more HipHop, soul driven Rap that artists like Chance The Rapper and Towkio thrive on. However, within the last year, Indie artists like ChiTown-bred Navvi Upside have been putting the Windy City on their back and are helping Chicago have a musical renaissance resurgence off the strength of their counter-cultural creations. Navvi's newest wavy offering "Benz" is a refreshing reminder of why Chicago will ALWAYS be a taste maker in this industry.
Opting for a completely different approach then usual, "Benz" finds Navvi somewhere between his rapping and singing bags, in a space that is filled with vocal texture, rhythmic cadences and illustrious vibes.
