The stunning six track release exudes a vivid and diverse soundscape spanning across several genres including R&B, Soul, Contemporary Urban Pop and more. The title track "Dopacabana" is the epitome of new wave funk and personifies the Washington DC artist's unique and vibrant style. Then there are tracks like "Mind Body & Soul" which make use of old school samples like Roberta Flack's "If Only For One Night" and allow Visto's impressive vocal ability to shine alongside his impeccable songwriting.
Laced with production from popular DMV area producers Adam Whitley, 2Tall, Tazcap & Visto himself, DOPACABANA accomplishes an impressive balance of substantial musicianship and vocal triumphs via Visto's intricate and multilayered melodies, all while existing as multifunctional Music that plays just as well in the club as it does at the crib.
