"New Year, new me!" Though we all have heard this phrase one too many times by now, it is especially true and effective for Midwest wunderkind Producer & Rapper Absolut-P, who just dropped some new music to ring in the New Year. Though, he would probably stylize it as "New Year, new [M!E]." And if I were you, I would get familiar with the [M!E] tag that stands for the Mov!ez Entertainment camp considering how fire AP's new project, Absolut_Coding V2.0: Computer_blue, is.
Consisting of 17 self-produced tracks and guest spots from artists like, Kloud Picasso, K'sean, Tre King Sr, Lord Vito & more, this project vastly conquers his previous effort, the Vexed EP, and builds onto a substantially different and new sound profile driven by crazy production and top notch bars. Tracks like "Even Stevens" takes you through the struggle with AP as he vividly illustrates life as a starving artist while simultaneously explaining his hustle and come up. Then there are records like "Unnoticed" that completely and utterly take you for a ride and engulf you into the digitally manipulated, pixelated and innovative world his music constructs. To be completely honest, this album listens superbly well from top to bottom and makes it difficult to choose a favorite from the crowd considering the quality of each song.
