LEVI HINSON SPITS A STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS ON "ALONE"
Ada, Oklahoma representer Levi Hinson is back in his bag of tricks fumbling around for new flavors to finish off 2017 the right way. Today he shifts tempo and delivers a dark introspective release dubbed "Alone."
Though Levi Hinson is known for his lyrically aggressive and blunt style, this track really takes those aspects of his craft to the next level. The best way to describe this record is like equating it to free-verse poetry with the accompaniment of music. Levi's flow and lyrical stanza patterns are very inherent to spoken word but his intensity and ultra dope vernacular affords the record a unique element of tenacity and rhythmic texture.
Laced with production from Canadian Producer Santosh, "Alone" listens through smoothly until an abrupt tempo and sonic change just before the two minute mark. Though this record is short lived, it thrives indefinitely throughout the entirety of it's playing time, and is undoubtedly worth a spin.
