MIXTAPE: YOUNG SIMMIE "BIG SMOKEY"
While 2016 yielded three full length projects from Young Simmie, 2017 was rather quiet for the Miami Rapper. Over the course of the past few weeks though, Simmie has managed to reignite the hype surrounding his music with the release of several singles including the thunderously disrespectful "Dinner Date."
Now he returns with a puff of smoke and his new album Big Smokey, a 16 track effort boasting features from familiar names like Nell & Rell and Lil Dred and laced with production from a slew of creatively dark entities like Evil Haze, HighAF, Young icey and more. This entire album slaps from top to bottom and between low frequency bangers like "Gotta Get It" "Young & Reckless" and more, this project may creep into your top 10 extremely quickly. The bars are effortlessly intricate and the production is aggressive and looming as always, but Big Smokey sports a type of confident haze that we have never seen or heard before from Young Simmie.
